The staff…. Very slow service. Only one key… Our driver was not allowed inside. The spa is not good! Waiting long time for food! Not great drinks

Fine, comfortable, great beach, but hotel a tad bland and over organised.

The breakfast food was very good although the coffee could have been a lot better. Had coffee in my room instead. I particularly liked the stringhoppers and Dahl. Room was comfy and,most importantly the beach was excellent.

Other than the coffee? This is a bit hard to explain to people who like "resorts" but it was all a bit too resorty for me. I prefer smaller hotels or guest houses with more character.

Fantastic pool and beach side lounging! Room was big, great AC and facilities, excellent AC

Buffet was really good when they offered it. There were a couple of mornings with no buffet, just a la carte menu

Very pleasant stay and would definitely stay here again

Our room was cleaned thoroughly by Akila everyday. The set menu breakfast was excellent and 2 days there was a buffet breakfast which was also excellent. The pool was clean and a good size to swim in. Plenty of sun loungers. A small gym, table tennis, carram & chess boards and beach volleyball were all available.

WORTH IT!

Nice staff, beautiful pool and instalations

Food quality was REALLY expensive for what it was: beef was 3 out of 10, and we payed 15USD for the buffet and 60USD per room night, doesn't make sense at all, but we really enjoyed the instalations .

Gorgeous location with excellent staff

The staff for always more than helpful to get what you needed and beyond. The room was gorgeous and very clean. A very relaxing few days spent here.

The Calm Resort and Spa name describes the quality of the hotel.

“The Calm Resort and Spa” name describes the quality of the hotel. We only stayed 2 nights there. We should stay 5 or 6 nights absolutely calm environment at the beach front Pasikudha. It is good to see early morning sunrises from the room. The sea also calm, Green flag is on all the time. It is safer to have a sea bath any time of the day. Special thank goes to Palitha, the swimming pool supervisor who look after us whole day when we were at the beach. The hotel location, comfort, safety, quality of the food and the hospitality offers by the staff is excellent. Thanks for the Browns Group Ltd [Ceylon] to managing the resort in higher slandered.

Property is right on the beach.

Property is right on the beach. Clean and quite. Nice pool. Rooms are spacious.

Front desk attend too much other things while they checking you in. On the phone too much. Not paying attention to the gust. Below average breakfast for Sri Lanka. Most of the hotels I have visited have great breakfast buffet. They didnt even have orange juice.

A very relaxing stay

The staff is amazing and very welcoming. They are very reactive and always ready to help to make your stay perfect. The hotel is located just in front of the beach with an amazing pool facing it. Even though there is not much variety in the food proposed a la carte, the prepared food tastes amazing, especially the seafood grill they prepared! I loved it! The ambiance is peacefull and very relaxing especially for someone who is looking to take a break from a busy life in Colombo. The spa they propose are of great choice and the therapist is very good. I will definitely come back for sure.

My only regret is not having hammocks in the beach for hammock lovers like me. But this doesn't change in anyway in the service they propose

Close to the beach, clean room, comfortable beds, gym is club is correctly equipped.

The swimming is from my point of view dangerous, slippery, you don’t see the different steps and therefore fall and hurt yourself on the corners. Moreover in summer water is extremely hot and you can’t walk around the pool without flip flop. The restaurant’s quality is not so good. Do not expect to taste good food here but normal food which is not normal for a 5 stars hotel .

The staffs, location & facilities r very nice

I choosed room with BB. The breakfast is so tasty with lots more varieties. But the price of meals r very high (lunch & dinner- USD 25 per head). So.. I feel itz better 2 reduce the prices, specially 4 srilankan.

The location is paradise!

The location is paradise! Away from everything but can get to shops by tuk tuk cost us 600 rupees there and back. Rooms are specious clean and modern. Beds are very big and the comfiest we have had so far in out 6 weeks of travelling. The pool is really nice and has comfy sun loungers. The restaurant food is good and not too expensive if you stick to the menu. All the staff where friendly and there was always someone around if you needed them. overall amazing room and facilities for the price! (We booked room only with breakfast included)

The menu for food could have been more. If you go off the menu and opt for the buffet it is way too expensive! If the buffet was a realistic price this would have made the food perfect too.

the hotel was excellent and must say the staff was very good Ruby front office lady and all the other ladies were very friendly and polite. took pictures too of us !!! the manager gave us an extension free of charge as we had a child he id welcome us very well. we had stayed at other browns locations they were also good nice and comfy stay and will come back for sure
